We have a number of unique methodologies to transplant different forms / ages of hedges. Whilst we can coppice down the hedge to move it (and destroy its visual amenity), we specialise in transplanting hedges without reducing them, so that the hedge appears the same in its new location as its donor location with all its benefits.

The 100m long, 4m  tall and 2m wide native hedge in the image below (on right hand side), formed an important part of the street scene.  We transplanted it back to form the visibility splay, retaining the street scene and facilitating the planning approval for this development.  The image below was taken the summer after transplanting.

The images below show a 100 year Beech hedge, that ran around a bowling green, that was transplanted in 1987 for a developer, without root preparation. We re-planted it four miles away to provide screening at the front of another development. It received no aftercare, the images below are  from 1987, 2005 and 2009, the last 22 years after moving with a 100% success rate.
